Follow an operation from request to evidence
Use the panel or your own agent to inspect current scope and follow a single command through daemon-owned reconciliation.
An operator needs to know whether a requested drain finished. A quick POST response establishes admission; it leaves the backend work to reconcile.
The panel and direct HTTP API consume the same daemon-owned facts. Overview, Triage and Command Center lead to task-specific evidence. Detailed broker, integration and operating views follow the installed backend scope.
Bind authority to a live scope
Read the verified identity and matching dashboard. Check the exact node, routing generation, writer term, ring generation and configuration digest. Roles and backend workflow availability decide whether a command can be reviewed. Session loss, stale data and scope changes withdraw write permission.
Keep one exact intent
Retain target, fences and one idempotency key before submission. After admission, save command/audit IDs and observe the original ID. Completion requires a matching reconciled record and evidence of the effect. Closing a browser or agent leaves backend work running.
If the response loses its command ID, inspect bounded existing events/status and require a unique full-intent match. Absence or ambiguity needs investigation. Submitting again merely to obtain status risks duplicate effects.
Share redacted facts
Keep authentication, payloads, raw logs, DSNs and private inputs out of handoffs. Retained evidence after an outage remains marked stale. A fresh matching cycle can restore the view without replaying commands.
Read panel operations or API operations. Use either with the customer’s chosen tools; no CitusIO agent client or host language runtime is required.
